TAGORE PUBLIC SCHOOL MAKING HEADLINES

A NATIONAL LEVEL ACHIEVEMENT  

 1.      NCC organized the ‘Thal Sainik Camp’ at the National Level. Two cadets from TPS, Vaidehi Singh of class 9 and  Shubhanshi Kesarwani of class 8  were selected for shooting by 6UP GIRLS BATALLION NCC, Allahabad. After qualifying 4 preliminary rounds organized in Allahabad, Bareilly and Shahjahanpur, they competed in the finals at New Delhi. They participated in several competitions like group singing, line area , tug-o-war and quiz. The cadets won the 3rd prize in Shooting (Grouping and snap) all over India.

 It was a red letter day for us when our school was awarded  Certificates of Appreciation for Excellence in Driving Innovation and in the use of Digital Technology, powered by Mangalayatan University, Lucknow. We were also felicitated for innovating in the field of education

 

The investiture ceremony of the newly appointed office bearers of Tagore Public School for the academic session 2016-17 was held  in the school premises on Tuesday, 26th July. The Principal invested the new Head Boy, Mohd. Asif Ali Khan and Head Girl, Mansi Mishra with their responsibilities. Badges and sashes were conferred on the School Prefects, Vice Prefects and Discipline Committee members. The House Captains and Vice Captains also received the flags of their respective houses. The Principal Ms. Kaveri Adhikari congratulated the office bearers and encouraged them to perform their duties with loyalty, truth and honour and to excel in all their efforts.

 

Milestone Event held on 10th Nov 2020. In this inter school event held on virtual mode more than ten school teams were participated. The rolling shield of excellence was bagged by TPS. While the runner up trophy was won my MPVM Ganga Gurukulum School prayagraj

National Level Science Exhibition-On 03rd Dec 2019 working model on the Topic-‘Harnessing of Energy from Waste Material’ won the First Prize at State Level and was selected for the National Level at Central Hindu Girls School, Varanasi. The  model was prepared by Arpita Khanna and Zainab Aslam of XI-A and both of them were selected for National Science Exhition held at Suncity School,Gurugram,Haryana from 16th to 18th January 2020.

Ali Nawaz Khan of Standard-VIII Bagged the second position in Shot-Put in the U-14 Boys Category in the CBSE Athletics Meet -2019(Cluster-V)

2.      This year on Teacher’s Day the Principal of our school, Miss Kaveri Adhikari, Mr. Sanjay Srivastava, Mrs. Jyotika Kashyap and Mr.Nitin Srivastava were awarded the Best Teacher’s Award by the S.P. Memorial Trust

Students who have done us proud:-

·             Vishal Srivastava cracked the IIT Entrance Examination in the first attempt; his All India Rank was 480. He also secured the third position and the eleventh position at the school and the district level of the CBSE class 12 exam.

·             On 15 August  Shreya Chowdhry (for being the topper in class 12 CBSE) and Vishal Srivastava (for cracking the IIT) were felicitated with a wrist watch and a lap-top respectively by the Saraswat Khatri Pathshala Society

 

·             Naman Agarwal and Sanchay Goel received a Certificate of Merit each for their performance and excellence in the finals of the 17th National Science Olympiad 2015.

On 14 July 2015, Pulkit Khare of class 10 emerged as the winner of the CBSE Cryptic Crossword Contest 2015  during the Varanasi City round.

·             Pulkit Khare,a student of 10 C bagged the second prize in a debate competition (Should Capital Punishment be Removed from our Judicial System) organized by Rotary Club Allahabad.

·             Faraz Ahmad Siddiqui a student of 9 C scored All India Rank 02 in an environmental quiz organized by Jim Corbett National Park.

·             At Reflections 2015,an inter institutional meet organized by CMS Lucknow, Shashwat Upadhyay and Nitya Singh won a special appreciation award for their power point presentation on the topic “PEACE”.

On 13-09-2015 Adwitiya Vikas a student of class 8-A bagged the third prize in a debate on the topic, ’Will The Green & Clean Movement In India Solve All Environmental Issues?” organized by the congregation of urban and rural environment at JAWAHAR BAL BHAWAN.

·             Purva Yadav of class 10 A won the second prize in a spontaneous talk competition of the topic ‘India is the Best Country and Science of India is the Best’. It was organized by the Ram Krishna Mission.

·             On 15-10-2015 in an Inter-institutional science quiz organized by JT Golden Jubilee School, our students  Prateek Saxena and Varnit won the first prize and  Sanchay Goel and Shivansh received participation certificates.

·       TPS ranked among top 30 in CBSE Cryptic Crossword Contest

·         The grand finale of CCCC 2015 was held at Civil Services Officers’ Institute, New Delhi from 12th to 14th December. Two students of the school, Pulkit Khare and Anma Ansari had qualified for the finale by winning the Varanasi city round of the event. In the finale, our school finished in the Top 30 teams throughout the country. The contest was organized by CBSE, Extra C and Crypticsingh. Sports Update 2015

In the P.P.Pandey Athletics Meet 2015-16 organized at D.P. Public School, Handia, the Tagore Public School team emerged winners in kho-kho. In the same event, Pankhuri Verma of class 10 A won the under 19 shot put competition; in the junior category, Jahnvi Agarawal and Chirag Wadhvani were the runners-up.
