International Yoga Day

The 7th International Yoga Day was celebrated at Tagore Public School, Prayagraj on 21st June 2021. This year’s celebration was themed around ‘Yoga for well-being’, aiming to promote the holistic health of every individual and was conducted virtually on digital platform in view of the ongoing covid pandemic. This year’s celebration emphasized the importance of meditation as an imperative tool for relaxation and rejuvenation of body and mind. With these objectives, an online yoga session was organised for classes I to VIII. Yoga instructor and research scholar of University of Allahabad Mr. Shailesh Mishra, took yoga session with great dedication. Students of classes XI and XII participated in an online webinar session headed by eminent yoga expert Dr. Bhaskar Shukla, Assistant Professor, H.N.B. Govt. P.G. College, Naini, Prayagraj. The session witnessed an enthralling participation of more than 200 students. Along with the aforementioned events, the students of classes IX and X participated in a PPT competition wherein they had to present slides depicting the significance of Yoga in our daily life. The Principal of Tagore Public School, Mrs. Archana Tewari, encouraged the students to practise Yoga in order to achieve holistic development as Yoga inculcates the qualities of discipline, dedication, self-control and concentration.
