Rules of On Stage and Off Stage Events
Rules:
ON-STAGE EVENTS
1. Lingua Spectrum
Classes: XI-XII
No. of participants: Two in each team
Qualifying round (offstage)
All the participants will undergo an objective, pen paper test after which the finalists will be shortlisted.
On stage rounds
ROUND 1: PICTURE PERFECT
Participants will have to guess the correct name on the basis of the visual clues.
ROUND 2: SPELL BUZZ
Participants will spell the word given by the Quizmaster without stammering or pause in one attempt.
ROUND 3: SYNONYMS
Participants will have to guess a word which is similar in meaning to the words given.
ROUND 4: TALK SMART
Participants will have to state the correct idiom/phrase/proverb with the help of the visual clues .
ROUND 5: FAST AND FURIOUS
It is a rapid fire round.
2. अस्तित्व (मानवीकरण)
कक्षा ९ – १0 समय-सीमा३मिनट
प्रतियोगी स. - 1
नियमावली :
1. प्रतियोगी अपने चयनित विषयानुसार अपनी साज-सज्जा या प्रारूप का चयन कर सकते हैं I
2. प्रतियोगी अपने वक्तव्य को गद्य या पद्य किसी भी रूप में हिन्दी भाषा में ही व्यक्त करेंगे I
3. ध्वनि प्रयोग या वाद्य-यंत्र का प्रबंध प्रतिभागी विद्यालय स्वयं करेंगें।
3. Bang Bash
Classes: IX – XII Time allotted: (empty to empty stage) 6-8 minutes
No. of participants: 8-10 in each team
1. Participants are required to produce music without using any musical instrument.
2. Materials required for the event will be brought by the participating team.
4. La-publicidad
Classes: XI-XII
No. of participants: 05-07 Time:02 minutes
Nature of the event:
It is an event which showcases the marketing of a product/brand through an advertisement made by the students.
Rules:
1. The participants are required to select any product of their choice.
2. The participants shall give a suitable name to their product.
3.The presentation can be bilingual (Hindi and English).
4. The advertisement can be either presented through an enactment or a jingle.
5. Participants should ensure no slang language is used in the enactment.
6. The participant should bring their own props.
7. Decency and decorum should be maintained.
5. Katha Sagar: A confluence of dance, drama and music
Classes:IX-XII Time limit: 5-8 minutes
No. of participants: A team of 8-10 members
Rules:
- The performance has to be an inspiration of the adaptations from Rabindranath Tagore’s dance-drama in Hindi.
- The performance has to be in Indian semi-classical/ classical dance forms.
- Traditional dresses / costumes are compulsory.
- The participants can bring their own props.
- A pen drive/ CD (in an envelope with the school details) has to be submitted at the registration desk.
6.Un-minuto
Classes:XI-XII
No. of Participants: 01
Rules:
1. Participants will be given a topic at the time of the event. (Topics will be related to commerce field).
2. Participants will get 30 seconds to think on the given topic.
3. Participants will speak for one minute.
4. The decency and decorum of the event should be maintained.
5. Participants should ensure that no slang language is used.
7.El-concurso:
Classes:XI-XII
No. of participants : A team of two
Nature of event :
A quiz is a form of game or mind sport, in which the players (as individuals or in teams) attempt to answer questions correctly. A business quiz is a brief assessment of commercial knowledge to measure growth in abilities, skills related with business areas.
Rules :
1. The medium of quiz will be BILINGUAL ( HINDI / ENGLISH) .
2. Questions will be based on areas of Finance , Commerce , Economics and General Awareness
3. There will be multiple rounds comprising oral , written & audio-visual with elimination.
OFF STAGE EVENTS
1. Bric-a-Brac
Classes: XI - XII Time allotted: 3 Hrs Topic:BIRTHDAY
No. of participants: 4-6
PARTY PROPS
1. This event is open for participants of standard IX – XII
2. Participants are required to select their own theme for the party. Eg: Barbie, superstars etc.
3. They are required to bring their own materials for making props on the spot. Cardboards/hardboards/thermcols cutting can be done beforehand.
4. Participants are required to prepare three different party props, one photo frame (3 x 2 feet), 3 party utensils and one gift box.
5. Marks will be awarded for the presentation and decoration of the props.
2. Carrom
Classes:IX -XII
1. There will be two participants from each school.
2. International rules of the game will be followed.
3. Incredible India Time allotted: 2 hours
Classes:IX -X
Number of participants: a team of 5
Rules:
1. The school is required to select one group out of the four listed below. Kindly confirm your choice latest by 12-August-2018 (through e-mail or in person at the school office.)
2. After receiving your consent, one state from the selected group will be allotted to the participating school.
3.Each team is required to depict the culture, costumes, art & architecture, cuisines etc. of the allotted state.
4. Half a classroom will be provided to each team for the display.

4. शब्द चित्रांकन
Classes: IX - X Time allotted: 2 Hrs
Number of participants: 2
1. शब्द चित्रांकन के लिए शब्द लिखा हुआ ए-4 पेपर प्रतियोगिता स्थल पर दिया जाएगा।
2. शब्दों के अन्तर्गत वाद्य - यंत्रों के चित्रों का ही प्रयोग करना है।
3. प्रतिभागी अपना आवश्यक सामान स्वयं लायेंगे।
4. चित्रों को किसी भी प्रकार के रंगों से सजाया जा सकता है।
5. दल के दोनों प्रतिभागी को अलग - अलग रूप में दिए गए शब्दों को चित्रों से सजाकर उनमें सामंजस्य दिखाना होगा।
5. Tag-o-mania:
Classes:XI –XII Time allotted:2 hours
No. of participants: A team of two.
Nature of event:
A tagline is a catchphrase or slogan, especially as used in advertising.
Rules :
1. Each team will prepare a tagline for 02 products / theme allotted to them on the spot.
2.The tagline should be original.
3. It should be written in proper in calligraphic style.
4. Each tagline will be written on a separate half a chart paper.
5. Only chart paper will be provided.
6. Other materials such as colours, pens (calligraphy or others) , paint brush for the purpose of designing will be
brought by the students.
6. Thande ka Funda
Classes:XI –XII Time allotted: 90 Minutes
No. of participants: A team of two
Rules:
1. All ingredients, utensils and kitchen appliances for preparation and serving are to be brought by the team.
2. Only plug-point will be provided for power supply.
3. Mint and one fruit of your choice is an essential ingredient.
4. No cooking is allowed. For blending, mixer/blender is allowed.
5. A complimentary snack item has to be presented along with the drink.
6. The team has to bring pre cooked items which should be assembled on the spot.
7. Health benefits are to be listed.
7. Zoom In
Classes: IX- XII Time allotted: 1Hr
No. of participants: 1-2
1. School identity card of the participant is mandatory for registration.
2. There could be a maximum of two and minimum one participant from each school.
3. Each participant will have to submit one final photograph with a suitable title or caption in a pen drive.
4. The theme for the photography competition will be given on the spot. The subject for photography will be within the school premises.
5. The participant is required to bring his/her camera. (USING MOBILE PHONE IS NOT ALLOWED).
6. Only JPEG format photographs will be accepted. The final photograph will be developed by the host school for the judgement.
7. Images obtained by illegal and unauthorized access to restricted areas will not be eligible for participation.
