A Word From The Principal

The COVID-19 pandemic has completely changed our lifestyles, in fact our lives. Over the last few months our conversations have been dominated by words like 'quarantine', 'social distancing', 'stay home', 'work from home', 'virtual classes', 'immunity', etc. Each and every sector of the economy has faced new unforeseen challenges. Some have even suffered great setback. But undoubtedly, everyone has taken the challenges in a stride and has been trying to find out new avenues by trial and error method.

We can say that this is a period of transition because we all have to adapt ourselves to the changing times and cater to the needs the situation demands. At a time when the health services have been attending to the COVID positive patients and trying to find out new antidote to fight againt the deadly virus, the educationists have been working day and night to provide a flexible, convenient, cost effective and above all SAFE environment of learning. Keeping in mind the safety of the school students, government has not included education in the essential services, but we, as educators did not sit back to 'wait and watch'. We have found out alternative methods of education and assessment. Though initially it might have been taxing for the teachers and students both, but now we all have acclimatized to the changing scenario. Now education is being imparted in the safe environment of homes because the well being of our stakeholders is our priority.

Each and everything in this world comes with its pros and cons. Likewise the deadly virus has taken a toll on people's lives on one hand but on the other hand it has also taught us life's important lessons. We all got ample time to sit back and think about our role as a resident of this earth. We have realized the damage that we have been done kowingly or unknowingly to our earth. It's time we pledge to be more caring about our planet and the other residents of this Earth. The confinement fo our homes have certainly been beneficial in developing bonds with the inmates. It is a time of cleansing our innerself and the outer environment as well.

Life is an expedition that is meant to be embraced to the fullest each moment. Dalai Lama said, "The purpose of our lives is to be happy." I sincerely wish and pray for a blissful, healthy and safe life for all associated with us.
