THE SILVER JUBILEE YEAR 2012

The 13th of March 2012 will be a red-letter day for Tagore Public School, Allahabad. On this day the New Age Masiah His Excellency Dr. A.P.J. Kalam Former President of India shall inaugurate the 25th Year celebration of the school. Tagore Public School has completed 24 years of it meaningful existence and has entered in 25th year. This year will be celebrated with great enthusiasm by the school. His Excellency has kindly consented to be the Chief Guest for ‘Unnayan’ a special celebration which will mark the commencement of the Silver Jubilee Year of Tagore Public School. Hon’ble The Chief Justice Syed Rafat Alam, Allahabad High Court will be the Guest of Honour.

On 28 Feb'12,on the occasion of Science Day, Mrs. Archana Tewari (PGT Zoology) was awarded the prestigious Science Teacher Award(Allahabad Region)by the National Academy of Sciences, India,Allahabad.

Beginning of a new era,release of new flags,new logos and new uniforms and presentation of Jubilee Year Lecture by Hon’ble Mr Justice AP Sahi(chief guest) and a cultural program(school anthem,a prayer for peace,school report by the Principal and Journey of TPS,a film) to mark the commencement of the Silver Jubilee Celebrations,a momentous occasion to rejoice and commemorate the founders of TPS.

23rd Feb’12 - Marked the commencement of the Silver Jubilee celebrations, a Havan was arranged, religious offerings by the Management, Administrative , Teaching staff and students to pay homage & respects to the glorious founder of Tagore Public School.

RULES FOR PROMOTION

1.For classes I to V there will be a total of six formative assessments throughout the year. These assessments will be in the form of various activities and projects related to the subject, including pen and paper tests.
2.For classes VI to X there will be 2 Summative Assessments and 4 Formative Assessments during one academic session.
3. SA1 and SA2 will be a pen paper test for 100 marks as per the time table. The formative assessments can be a number of tests(oral ,projects, assignments or written)which will be intimated by the concerned teacher to the students. The average marks obtained will be entered in the report card.
4.A student who completes the assignments and project work, appears in all class tests, summative and formative assessments and gets a minimum of 40% marks in each subject will be declared passed.
5.It is compulsory for every student to appear in all the formative and summative tests.
6.In the Science subjects, the practical are a part of the formative assessment.
7.Request for Pre-ponement / Post-ponement of tests will not be entertained. Due to sickness , if any child fails to appear in the assessments , a Medical Certificate from a Registered Medical Practitioner should be submitted within the examination period. In no case re-examination be taken.
8.A student who fails consecutively for two years in the same class will have to leave the school.
9.If a student does not submit the answer sheet to the invigilator and carries it outside the examination room, he/she will be marked zero in the subject concerned.
10.For classes XI & XII Project and Assignment is compulsory and per CBSE rules. The student will be graded on his/her quality of work.
11.The decision of the Principal in respect of any student shall be final and binding.
